Pricing FAQ

Know what happens before you reach a limit.

The console shows current usage and remaining allowances. These answers describe the limits enforced by the current plan catalog.

What happens when I reach my monthly patient quota?

Generation within your included allowance is covered by the plan. Additional patients use account credit at your displayed per-1k rate; a request pauses before it starts when the remaining allowance and credit cannot cover it. Add credit, reduce the cohort, or move to a plan with a larger allowance.

Can I exceed a workflow or HIE allowance?

No automatic overage is applied to conversion, HIE provider, topology, webhook, simulator, or trust-audit allowances. Those requests stop at the plan's monthly cap. The console shows the applicable limits so you can upgrade or contact sales before the next run.

How long are generated exports retained?

Developer, Team, and Enterprise workspaces retain saved artifacts for 30 days by default. The Free sandbox does not include retained workspace artifacts. Enterprise includes extended-retention options; contact sales for the configured window. Deterministic specs and seeds let you regenerate equivalent cohorts.

Does MediSynth use real patient data, and do I need a BAA?

MediSynth generates synthetic data and is not designed to receive real patient records or PHI. A BAA is generally not required for synthetic-only use; your organization's facts may differ, so review the data-scope and compliance explanation with your own compliance team.

How do I change or cancel a self-serve plan?

After your first checkout, workspace owners can open Manage billing in the console to use the hosted billing portal. Enterprise subscriptions are managed with your MediSynth account team.
